The Mage's Daughter (The Nine Kingdoms, Book 2)
Ok, here is the second book of the Ninth Kingdom series - The Mages Daughter. This about how Morgan dealt with the betrayal and how she felt when she found out the guy she in love with is a mage - something or someone she really hate! It was so sad shen she found about her father treachery and her mother's death at his hand.
THE MAGE'S DAUGHTER
In the kingdom of Neroche, nightmarish creatures have been unleashed as weapons in a war of evil. Morgan the mercenary, daughter of a treacherous black mage, must fight against them—as well as for her very life.
Miach of Neroche would risk his own life to save Morgan's, but he must do so at the peril of the realm—forcing dangerous choices in the deadliest of quests.
Star of the Morning (The Nine Kingdoms, Book 1)
This book is a very good book to read, its historical background is interesting and the story itself made you alive and in awed with all the magical whatsnot!! This actually the first book in the series. I kind of reverse reading it! I read the second book first which is The Mages Daughter! Both are equally good - well for medieval book lovers like me! However i posted this one first so, i got it right in order at last! Lol....
Brief extract fyi -
STAR OF THE MORNING
Darkness covers the north, since the black mage has begun his assault on the kingdom of Neroche. Legend has it that only the two magical swords held by Neroche's king can defeat the mage. Now the fate of the Nine Kingdoms rests in the hands of a woman destined to wield one of those blades...
In this land of dragons and mages, warrior maids and magical swords, nothing is as it seems. And Morgan will find that the magic in her blood brings her troubles she cannot face with a sword—and a love more powerful than she has ever imagined.

Confession of a Sophaholic
I read this book last month and get totally inspired.
Mind you, not at first! In the beginning I was thinking how can such a bright girl can be so dumb? But as your reading progressed you understand as to WHY! She got talent in financial management but have underutilised it. Like most of us! But after one incident that will either lift or sink her life - she realised her worth, act on it and get her life back together.
Credit cards..ahh I am sure most of us if not all have this sinking problem! After finished reading this book, i'm teribly inspired to tap into my unconscious talent (sunk i would say) which we probably never even knew we had, until we saw or read something that push the button in that particular corner. So now i am capitalising on my hidden hobbies and talents !!! ;)
So i do recommend this book, not only as a good book to read but by reading it you will realised something which you forget. It will sort of reminds you what you should do with yourlife...just like it does mine.
